Below freezing at the Koran War Memorial

Frozen Stillness at the Korean War Memorial

by Jason Vines

I bought my Nikon D810 at the beginning of this year, and despite the below freezing temperature, I wanted to test its performance. So I bundled up and ventured into the cold.

Of course, sensible people don’t go out in such weather, so I had the monuments virtually to myself. That made possible the capture of this placid frozen scene at the Korean War Memorial.

As for the D810, I thought it did great! I hadn’t been a fan of the D800’s focusing at times, especially when paired with my Nikkor 24-70 lens, but the D810 had no problems.
